Rider critically injured in motorcycle accident at North Frankford & Ursuline

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A motorcycle rider is in critical condition after a Wednesday afternoon accident at North Frankford and Ursuline Street, about half a mile past Erskine.

Police say the motorcycle rider, 27-year-old Kyle Andrew Farris, was on the shoulder of the road and tried to make a U-turn. Police say Farris failed to yield right of way to an oncoming SUV and was t-boned by the vehicle.

Farris suffered life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition at UMC. The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries.
