Police: Man stole from United, hit deputy with car

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock police are searching for a man who they say stole from the United Market Street at 4425 19th Street and hit an off-duty LSO deputy with his car as he fled.

The incident happened on Aug. 16 around 9:27 p.m. The suspect was last seen fleeing in a newer model black Lincoln town car with chrome trim.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 35 years of age, 5'7 to 5'9, 220 to 225 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored polo and khaki shorts.
