Injured Grain Elevator Workers Continue Recovery in Lubbock

Two men severely burned in a Lazbuddie grain elevator explosion Friday morning continue to recover.

The explosion took place in Lazbuddie around 7:30 Friday morning. Lazbuddie is about 80 miles NW of Lubbock.

Domingo Villarreal and Ray Stanley were both injured in the explosion. Villarreal remains in critical condition at University Medical Center. Stanley is in serious condition.

The explosion was likely caused by a natural gas leak at the elevator.
