Lubbock police searching for suspect in July hit and run

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock police are searching for a suspect accused of running over and dragging a Texas Tech student after stealing the student's cell phone.

The incident occurred at Main and Avenue X on July 17 around 2:06 p.m.

Police say the vehicle then fled westbound down Main and ran the stop sign at University Avenue. It was last seen North bound on University Avenue.

Police are searching for a white male in his 50s with a buzz haircut and balding on top. The suspect's vehicle is described as a 2005-2010 tan or gold Dodge Durango.
