TCU's Patterson may play Pachall and Boykin Saturday night

Posted: Updated:
Fort Worth, TX (WAFB) -

TCU head coach Gary Patterson will have both of his quarterbacks on the field to start Saturday night's game against LSU.

But before you try and figure out what trick play Patterson will use to pull that off, relax because Casey Pachall and Trevone Boykin will only be together for the coin toss as offensive co-captains.

Patterson has indicated both quarterbacks could play when his 20th ranked Horned Frogs face the number 12 Tigers.

Pachall is 15-2 as TCU's starter and was 4-0 when he left school last year for treatment in a substance abuse program.

Boykin filled in nicely winning three Big 12 road games as a freshman, while throwing for more than 2000 yards and 15 touchdowns.

The LSU offense would like to grab some attention on national TV Saturday night, still stinging from the way it ended last season against Clemson.

With offenses becoming increasingly explosive, plugging the holes is more imperative than ever. It's no surprise Alabama and Florida top the list, but the rest of the rankings may surprise you.
