Researchers have come up with the first national estimate of adults in the U.S. who take prescription sleeping pills.
A new survey from the National Center for Health Statistics reported that about 4 percent of adults said they'd taken a sleeping pill within the past month.
The pills were slightly more popular among women than men, and among white adults more so than other ethnicities. Sleep aid usage also increased with education level.
