Chobani is pulling some of its Greek yogurt from supermarket shelves after hearing reports of "swelling" in cups.
After conducting an investigation, company officials say that they discovered a type of mold commonly found in dairy within the affected yogurt and that this may be to blame for the yogurt popping and appearing runny and bubbly.
The affected yogurt came from Chobani's Idaho facility and represents less than 5% of its total production.
KCBD was able to contact Lubbock's United Supermarkets about the issue. United says that 80% of their stores carries Chobani yogurt. The yogurt has been removed from their shelves.
We're still waiting to hear from some other Lubbock stores and will continue to update this story as we learn more.
