Lubbock Sheriff's Department Raises Money For United Way

The United Way is getting a boost from some of Lubbock's men and women in uniform.

The Lubbock County Sheriff's Department is hoping to turn bacon into dollars for the United Way. Sheriff David Gutierrez and other administrators cooked breakfast for the Sheriff's Department employees Wednesday morning to promote their United Way fundraising campaign.

The department's civic work will continue with their participation in the upcoming American Heart Walk.
