Accident Leaves Elderly Couple Injured - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

An elderly couple suffered serious injuries overnight, after their SUV was struck by a red light runner.

It happened about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the intersection of 82nd and Slide. Police say the Buick ran a red light, and struck the Blazer.

The 71-year-old driver and his 65-year-old passenger were both taken to Covenant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Buick, refused treatment.
