Provided by: Lubbock Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes

United, we stop diabetes! Come unite with us for a beautiful stroll through Mackenzie Park for our 20th Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes on September 28!

Unite to support the 30,300 people in Lubbock with diabetes and 84,600 with pre-diabetes! We'll be walking (rain or shine) with more than 2,400 friends and co-workers! Help us raise money for a cure for diabetes! Healthy living in the real world & Fitness Fair, entertainment, snacks, drinks and more! Persons with diabetes, cheer the walkers at the finish line!

Our goal: $125 per person, and $1,250 for a team of 10 walkers!

American Diabetes Association is the only nonprofit health organization fighting all types of diabetes. The ADA: 1) Funds diabetes research at TTUHSC! 2) Provides information for people with diabetes, health care providers, and the general public. 3) Visits newly diagnosed children/teens in the hospitals and unites families. 4) Advocates for the rights of people with diabetes and for scientific research.

Email matwood@diabetes.org to get involved!

If you are traveling I-27, take the Mackenzie Park exit and turn into park. Go left and follow road to baseball fields where the fun begins. We'll be waiting for you!
