Salvation Army of Lubbock set to close Family Thrift Store

Provided by The Salvation Army of Lubbock

The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store, located at Slide Rd. and 13th street in the Red Bud Shopping Center, will close at the end of September.

As costs to operate the Family Thrift Store have continually increased, revenues have continually declined. Since the store was founded to generate revenue for the services we provide to men, women, and children in the community, we felt the most prudent financial decision was to close.

Until September 21, the Family Thrift Store will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday at 1102 Slide Road. The Salvation Army will discontinue picking up donations and suggests to those that would like donations picked up to contact their United Way community partner Goodwill.
