The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will conduct a public hearing to discuss and receive input from the public on a project that will make improvements to the Marsha Sharp Freeway (US 62/82), from Milwaukee Avenue to 82nd Street, in the cities of Lubbock and Wolfforth.
TxDOT will host an Open House beginning at 5:30 p.m.; with the formal Public Hearing presentation taking place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, in the Mesquite Training Center on the Lubbock District headquarters complex located at 135 Slaton Road in Lubbock.
During the meeting, TxDOT personnel will discuss the proposed improvements to extend the Marsha Sharp Freeway 2.6 miles. The project's proposed improvements will include building the freeway main lanes, frontage roads, entrance and exit ramps, a bridge interchange at Upland Avenue, and reconfiguring the bridge interchange that connects Spur 327 to the Marsha Sharp Freeway.
Citizens interested in attending who have special accommodation needs are encouraged to contact Karen Bradshaw, Environmental Coordinator, (806) 748-4377, at least three days prior to the hearing. Requests for language interpreters or other special individual needs should also be made at least three days prior to public hearing.
