LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A group of local volunteer buglers performed "Taps" Wednesday morning at the American Tribute flag site at Miller Park to honor the lives lost on 9/11.

The buglers played "Taps" at the exact time of each plane crash: 7:46 a.m., 8:03 a.m., 8:13 a.m., and 9:10 a.m. The times were adjusted to the Eastern time zone.

Then they added a fifth time, at 9:30 a.m., to honor all first responders and armed service members who lost their lives as a result of this attack.

The local volunteers are part of a national organization called Bugles Across America.
