Lubbock Regional Public Safety Memorial unveils statue on 9/11

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Local and area fallen officers and first responders will be honored Wednesday at the Lubbock Regional Public Safety Memorial dedication ceremony.

Organizers will be unveiling a special statue that has been 13 years in the making.

A special plaque will also be unveiled in honor of Corporal D. Robert Martin Harvey, a former Lubbock Country Sheriff's Deputy, who fell in the line of duty 4 1/2 years ago.

The event wail be held at Leroy Elmore Park, located at 6601 Quaker Ave., at 6 p.m.
