Car seat checkup event scheduled for Saturday

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

 

The Texas Department of Transportation, UMC Trauma Services, and the B- Regional Advisory Council will be hosting a car seat checkup event on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The event will be held at the United Supermarket at 2630 Parkway Drive. 

Certified car seat technicians will be on hand to teach parents and caregivers which seat is right for a child's age and size.

The National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration says that, nationally, 3 out of 4 safety seats are not used correctly.
