Cowboys' Back to School Bash to help injured motorcyclist

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Listen to live music, have a few drinks and bid on motorcycle gear - all for a good cause.

The Buffalo Springs Lake Amphitheater will be hosting the Motorcycle Cowboys' Back to School Bash on Saturday, Sept. 21st. The event is being held for the benefit of James Burrough, a motorcyclist who was involved in an accident that broke his back and neck, among other injuries.

It goes from 5 p.m. to 12 p.m., with live music by bands such as Hogg Maulies, The Danny Cadra Band and others. There will also be door prizes and a motorcycle gear auction, where participants can bid on gloves, helmets, jackets, shirts, saddlebags and other such items.

There is a $10 cover charge, not including the lake gate fee. The gate fee is $6 for adults and $5 to college students with a valid ID. The event is BYOB, with a $5 cooler charge.

All proceeds will go toward covering Burroughs' medical bills.
