Power restored in southwest Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A late night power outage left hundreds of residents in the dark in southwest Lubbock overnight.

South Plains Electric Co-op says a faulty underground primary line near 96th Street and Chicago Avenue caused a power outage in the Meadows subdivision, around 11:47 p.m. Sunday.

The outage affected about 1,100 customers.

SPEC crews re-routed power around the problem area and restored the electricity by 1 a.m.
