Roughly half the entire student enrollment showed up for last week's game against TCU. That's a good thing.
What's not good is how a few of them continue to contribute to the negative reputation of them all.
What I saw last week was inexcusable. Students throwing water bottles at the opposing team's cheerleaders, yelling obscenities at the opposing players, coaches, fans, and just flat out acting classless and ignorant.
Make no mistake, it's a problem. Now, as I said, it's not all of them, but it's enough of them to warrant some action.
I hope Tech administration will take this issue seriously, adopt a no tolerance policy, and have enough security in the right places to catch any student doing anything unsportsmanlike and remove them from the game.
Because as Tech excitement grows, unfortunately, without intervention, so will this problem.
