Hilderbran meets with Lubbock citizens to kick off campaign

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock citizens got a chance to speak with Republican candidate Harvey Hilderbran on Saturday afternoon.

Hilderbran, a candidate running for Texas Comptroller, met with Lubbock residents during a luncheon to discuss his vision for the Texas budget.

The luncheon was at River Smith's Chicken and Catfish Restaurant at 406 Avenue Q from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Hilderbran is a Texas Tech Alumnus, and said that the support of Lubbock is key to him. That's why he made Lubbock the first stop on his campaign trail for the March election.

Hilderbran said he wants to lead the Republican party in keeping Texas a conservative state.
