LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A Lubbock man was pronounced dead on the scene of a rollover accident on Highway 84 in Hockley County early Sunday morning.

James Matthew Barker, age 43, was pronounced dead on the scene when police arrived at 4:30 a.m.

DPS troopers said the accident was caused when a truck rolled over off Highway 84 and King Road, causing the vehicle to leak an excessive amount of gasoline.
