County Still Seeking Drug Task Force Money - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The Lubbock County Sheriff's Department has asked the county commissioners for permission to apply for money they were receiving as part of the South Plains Narcotics Task Force.

The task force is no more, now that the city stepped down as the lead agency, so counties are applying for their portion of the grant. The commissioners approved the plan, and how much they'll get depends on how many counties apply.

The money will go toward fighting drugs in this area.
