LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

District 2 resident Gordon Harris has turned in yet another petition to recall Councilman Floyd Price.

Harris turned in a petition with 1,055 signatures on Thursday morning.

His previous two petitions were both declared invalid.

The petition Harris submitted on Aug. 15 contained 648 signatures. 509 valid signatures were required, but Lubbock City Secretary Becky Harris said ultimately, less than 400 signatures were valid.

His first petition, filed back in July, was missing some required affidavits needed to confirm the signatures.

This third petition still needs to be verified by the city secretary.

If Price is removed, Harris has said he would run for the position.
