West Texas cotton farmers told Senator John Cornyn on Tuesday, "Don't touch the farm bill." The Republican from Texas hosted leaders of the Plains Cotton growers at his Washington office.
The farm bill was just one of several issues the group discussed with the Senator. "The farm bill which was passed a year ago or so is something everyone feels works really well and ag producers say they don't want it reopened that it works as planned," said Cornyn.
In July, agriculture leaders in Amarillo met with the Senator to discuss their concerns.
