A man accused of firing a gun at a Lubbock Police officer will now go to trial.
Tuesday a Lubbock Grand Jury indicted Domingo Arguellez Jr. for aggravated assault of a public servant.
Arguellez was at the center of an August 23rd standoff in front of his home in the 6900 Block of Freemont. Police fired rounds from a bean-bag shotgun to disarm Arguellez. During that time, police say Arguellez dropped his gun but then picked it up and pointed it toward an officer. He was then arrested.
Arguellez is charged with a first degree felony.
