LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock police responded to a civil disturbance between two roommates at the Raider Pass Apartments at 3100 4th Street around 2:50 a.m. Thursday.

Officers say they found a subject acting aggressively toward his roommate and talking to imaginary people.

Police say that this subject became violent and assaulted one of the officers on the scene. The suspect then fled to another part of the apartment, ran through a bathroom wall, and jumped head first from a 3rd floor window.

Police say the suspect fled on foot through the complex and was later located in a shallow pond to the west of the complex.

The suspect was taken into custody and admitted into UMC for treatment of possible serious injuries.

We're now learning, from the police report, that the suspect had marijuana on him.

Authorities have not released the suspect's name, but say he could face criminal charges.
