NewsChannel 11 To Air District 19 Debate Live

Thursday night the presidential candidates will square off in their first debate. You can watch that debate right here on NewsChannel 11 starting at 8pm on Thursday.

Meanwhile, candidates for District 19 are set to debate next month, and you can see it live on NewsChannel 11.

As part of KCBD's commitment to the political process, we will broadcast the hour long debate between Congressman Randy Neugebauer, Congressman Charlie Stenholm and candidate Chip Peterson live October 12th at 7pm.

NewsChannel 11 General Manager, Dan Jackson says coverage of the debate is a part of KCBD's enhanced political initiative designed to educate voters.

"We feel it's an extremely important debate for all viewers on the South Plains and our obligation as the news leader in the market that we should give every person an opportunity to view the debates and make an educated decision come election day," said Jackson.

Again the debate takes place October 12th at 7pm at Texas Tech University's Allen Theater.
