UPDATE: Repairs to the South Loop 289 flyover planned to begin Monday, Oct. 14, have been delayed due to rain. The pavement is too wet to begin repairs Monday.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will reduce the South Loop 289 flyover, connecting to northbound I-27, to one-lane of traffic to allow crews to safely make concrete repairs to the roadway.
Message boards are in place alerting motorists of the scheduled closure.
Motorists should expect delays and are asked to drive with caution through the work zone for their safety and the safety of the workers.
Repairs are expected to take 3 to 4 weeks to complete weather permitting.
