Sheriff's office employee charged with bribery, abuse of capacity

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock County Sheriff's employee, Thalia Nadine Mullins, 50, was arrested Monday during an undercover operation conducted by Lubbock County Sheriff's Office.

She was taken into custody by Lubbock County Sheriff's Deputies at a local shopping center.

Mullins is the subject of an ongoing criminal investigation involving the county's work release program.

The Sheriff's Office says they received a report last week that Mullins was accepting bribe money in exchange for credit earned in the work release program.

Mullins has been charged with bribery, tampering/defrauding a government record, and misuse of $500-1500.
