Lubbock Sheriff's Office
One of the state's most wanted fugitives is now behind bars after being captured here in Lubbock.
Sheriff's deputies arrested 46-year-old Herbert Lee Johnson Junior without incident Wednesday, near 23rd and Fir. The Department of Public Safety considered Johnson one of the state's ten most wanted. Officers called him "armed and dangerous" following a Lubbock robbery in 2002, where he and an accomplice allegedly hit a victim over the head.
