Cold front rolling in Sunday night

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock's next cold front is rapidly pushing southward across the Texas Panhandle Sunday night.

This front will bring a wind shift to the north followed by colder temperatures and gusty winds overnight. Temperatures have warmed into the 70s and 80s area wide.

Winds should become northerly before midnight with temperatures falling into the 50s behind the front. Wind gusts may approach 25 to 35 mph immediately behind the front with gusty winds continuing through Monday morning.

Lows fall into the 40s for the Lubbock area with 30s possible over the northwestern South Plains. Monday will be cooler with highs in the lower to middle 60s. Gusty north winds continue through noon Monday.
