Victim takes gun from burglary suspects, shoots as they flee

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A victim turned the tables on a pair of burglary suspects Tuesday night.

It happened in the 3400 block of 30th Street around 10:44 p.m.

Police say a woman knocked on the victim's front door and asked to use the phone. While she was talking on the phone, a man rushed from the side of the house and charged the victim with a gun in his outstretched hand.

The victim was able to get the gun away from the suspect and fired it several times as they fled the scene.

The suspects, described as a Hispanic male and female, have not been located, and the investigation is ongoing.
