Race for the Cure Held Saturday

The race to beat breast cancer began at the starting line Saturday morning. The 10th Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was held at Dan Law Field on Saturday.

More than 3,400 people were expected to attend the morning race. It included a 1-mile and 5k walk-run. The money raised will go toward breast cancer research and education.

By the way, the Komen Foundation recommends all women have yearly mammograms starting at age 40. Women 20 and older should perform monthly breast exams.
