If you think it's a great eye-deal to change the look of your eyes for Halloween, the FDA says watch out, because that could be really scary.
Remember, by federal law, you need a prescription to buy contact lenses.
The problem is some vendors sell them over the counter, or online.
If not fitted properly, lenses can cause infections, ulcers and in some cases, lead to blindness.
So, the Food and Drug Administration is warning consumers not to buy contact lenses from Halloween novelty shops, unless they are sold by prescription.
