Red Raider basketball to host tip-off celebration

Texas Tech Head Coach Tubby Smith and the 2013-14 Red Raiders will open the doors to the public for the first look at this year's edition of the men's basketball team at 6 p.m. at the United Spirit Arena.

The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the event begins at 6 p.m. Fans are asked to enter the northwest entrance of the United Spirit Arena.

Hors d'Oeuvres and a cash bar will be on hand for fans, while Smith and the Red Raiders are introduced to the fans and will entertain the public with a 3-point contest, dunk contest and a live scrimmage.

Texas Tech will host Angelo State in an exhibition game on Nov. 1st at 7 p.m. at United Spirit Arena and tip-off the season Nov. 8th at 7 p.m. against Houston Baptist.
