Children's Hope Residential Services raises money for playground

The Children's Hope Residential Services will be hosting their first annual Children's Hope Poker Run on Saturday, November 2nd, to help raise money for a new playground.

The residential service is a psychiatric treatment facility for emotionally and behaviorally disturbed adolescents.

The playground will be built for the kids currently staying at the facility, who range anywhere from ages 5 to 17.

The run will start at 10 a.m. at the Children's Hope Residential Services, located at 2402 Canyon Lake Dr. The riders will leave from Levelland and make their way to Lubbock, finishing the run around 4 p.m.

The event is open to anyone over the age of 18, and all types of vehicles are encouraged to participate.

All proceeds and donations for the run go toward the fund to build the playground.
