PLAINVIEW, TX (KCBD) -

The Plainview man charged with killing his pregnant wife will now spend the next 60 years in prison.

26-year-old Juan Castaneda pleaded guilty Thursday to murdering his wife in November of 2012.

Viviana Castaneda was seven months pregnant when her husband rammed his pickup truck into her car.

The couple's son 5-year-old son, Zameer Castaneda, and Viviana's sister, Vanessa Garcia, were also in the car at the time of the accident but they both survived.

Castaneda's initial capital murder charge was reduced because he was willing to plead guilty. However, Castaneda won't be eligible for parole until he has served at least half of his sentence.
