Lubbock police are looking for the person responsible for hitting and killing a man with their vehicle and not stopping to help.
It happened on the 6600 block of West 19th at 5:15 Monday morning. According to police, 29-year-old Eduardo Rodriguez was walking along 19th Street with the direction of traffic. Witnesses told police a vehicle hit him from behind and threw him into a ditch.
Witnesses stopped and called 9-1-1. Rodriguez was taken to the hospital where he died.
The man responsible for the accident is expected to turn himself in to Lubbock police on Tuesday.
