Siblings' Medical History Could Determine Your Own

Doctors always stress the importance of knowing your family's medical history. Turns out, your brothers and sisters may get the top spot on any red flags in the family.

A Johns Hopkins Study of nearly 8,500 people found that a sibling history of heart disease increased a person's risk nearly three times, while a parent handed down twice the risk of heart disease.

The bottom line is that family history doesn't just mean your parents and their parents, but it also means that sibling health is also something your doctors should have on record.
