Marquee home games against Arkansas, West Virginia, Texas and Oklahoma highlight one of the most exciting football schedules in school history and are part of a 12-game slate that will serve as Texas Tech's road map towards a Big 12 Conference championship in 2014.

The Big 12 Conference announced the league portion of the schedule on Tuesday morning, and that put the final touches on the 2014 schedule for Texas Tech. Texas Tech will open its Big 12 schedule on a Thursday night in Stillwater as the Red Raiders will face Oklahoma State on Sept. 25, following the first of three open dates.

The Red Raiders kick off the 2014 season at home against Central Arkansas on Aug. 30 before hitting the road to El Paso for a date against the UTEP Miners in the Sun Bowl. Tech will close out its non-conference schedule on Sept. 13, with a home game against the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Tech will play its first two Big 12 games on the road as the Red Raiders follow up the Thursday night opener in Stillwater with a match-up against Kansas State in Manhattan on Oct. 4.

The Red Raiders will play two home games in the month of October in back-to-back weeks against West Virginia (Oct. 11) and Kansas (Oct. 18). After closing out the month of October at TCU (Oct. 25), Tech will face rivals Texas (Nov. 1) and Oklahoma (Nov. 15) in Lubbock. The Red Raiders will then travel to Iowa State on Nov. 22 and close out the regular-season against Baylor on Nov. 29 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Season ticket and parking renewals for the 2014 season will be available starting in January and Texas Tech will once again be offering an eight-month payment plan. Fans that are interested in becoming a new season ticket holder for 2014, a deposit of $50 per seat is now available by calling (806) 742-TECH (8324) or logging to www.texastech.com.
