Two in custody after armed robbery at Lubbock WalMart

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock police officers responded to an armed robbery at the WalMart located at 702 W Loop 289 at 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7. 

Police say Arthur Willingham, 34, and James Leyva, 32, pulled a firearm on a WalMart employee that attempted to prevent them from stealing a television. 

The men then fled the scene in a stolen Chevy Camaro.

Police say they located the stolen Camaro at the WalMart located at 1911 Marsha Sharp Freeway. One of the men was taken into custody without incident while the other was cornered inside WalMart and then taken into custody. 

Willingham and Leyva are both facing charges of aggravated robbery and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
