Henderson hosts 25th heritage syrup festival

HENDERSON, TX (KLTV) -

The second weekend in November means an East Texas city is hosting a sweet theme event.

The 25th annual heritage syrup festival in Henderson brought thousands of people to the area for music, fun, and of course syrup. The event is a landmark festival for East Texas, with a small town charm that brings visitors back every year.

"It's a little slice of Norman Rockwell and small town America, so I think if you were to come here and experience what we experience every year at the syrup festival you'll truly enjoy yourself," says Henderson rotary club president Jennifer Brown.

The event also featured a huge classic car show and will end tonight with a live music performance.
