House on 24th Street destroyed by Sunday morning fire

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Only charred rubble remains after a fire tore through a Lubbock home Sunday morning.

Fire crews arrived just after 6 a.m. to find the home at 2114 24th Street fully engulfed in flames.

The structure is gone and the house appears to be a total loss.

The fire spread to neighboring homes, but fortunately there were no injuries.

Officials say that utilities in the home were shut off and that the home was undergoing a remodel.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
