CHAPEL HILL, TX (KLTV) -

One person was injured and another taken to jail after a 2-vehicle collision near Chapel Hill High School.

Just after 7:15 a.m., a Nissan truck pulled out from County Road 215, hitting a Hyundai traveling eastbound on Highway 64 E. One person in the Hyundai was transported to a local hospital with injuries.

The driver of the Nissan was taken into custody for driving without a license, which is standard practice when an accident occurs and the driver does not have a license.

The Department of Public Safety is investigating the wreck and has not released the name of the driver of the Nissan at this time.

We will have more information on the wreck and the identity of the driver as it becomes available.
