LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Fire crews responded to an apartment fire in Longview on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Longview Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Curtis Shaw, fire investigators remain at Regency Park Apartments trying to determine what sparked the fire.

Crews arrived on scene in the 700 block of Gilmer Road just after noon. The roof of a building housing eight apartments was significantly damaged during the fire. The interior of four of those apartments was damaged as well. No injuries have been reported.

"One person was home at the time, was uninjured and was able to exit," said Shaw.

The American Red Cross was on scene earlier, assisting displaced residents who are in need of temporary shelter.

Fire fighters also responded to a house fire around the same time on Blake Drive in the Spring Hill area. The kitchen of the home was damaged and a resident received grease burns on her hands.
