Researchers at the University of Montreal wanted to learn what effect, if any, exercise might have on the baby, during pregnancy.
So, researchers measured the babies' brain activity at 8 and 12 days old, and they found those born to moms who exercised had more mature brain activity, suggesting they developed faster than the other children.
It was a small study. But overall, the study indicates your baby can enjoy some little extra brain power, from as little as 20 minutes of walking or moderate exercise a week, even before they're born.
