Lubbock gets high marks, but 57% disapprove of LP&L

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Political science students at Texas Tech administer a survey each year. This year, 86% of Lubbock residents say that the quality of life is good or excellent here at home.

But there was one topic that brought a great deal of criticism.

When Lubbock residents were asked how they thought of LP&L, most of them were displeased.

57% of people say that they disapprove of the way that LP&L handles its job providing electricity to customers.

71% say that they disagree with the way that the public utility board prices its services.

Overall, topics regarding Lubbock Power and Light generated the most negative feedback.

Other topics discussed included education and the quality of service from emergency responders.

72% of people said that the quality of education at LISD is excellent.
