Congressman Randy Neugebauer (R-TX) released the following statement after voting to pass H.R. 3350, the Keep Your Health Plan Act. The legislation allows insurance providers to continue to offer existing health plans through 2014 so families don't have to face immediate cancellation.

"My constituents in West Texas want the President to honor his promise that if you like your health care plan, you can keep it," Neugebauer said. "So I was proud to support this bipartisan bill to provide temporary relief for families that have lost their coverage. However, my priority remains finding a permanent solution that protects Americans from the high costs and dangerous consequences of Obamacare."

Neugebauer spoke on the House Floor yesterday in support of allowing families to keep their health plans. He shared the story of a Levelland family whose daughter has an aggressive form of childhood cancer. Her family was recently notified that their plan is being canceled.
