The Lubbock Christian University is teaming up with Project Linus and volunteers from the community to provide blankets for needy children.

The Lubbock Chapter of Project Linus and the Lubbock Christian Church are working together to host their annual workday on Saturday, where people come together to make blankets for donation.

Project Linus has provided handmade blankets for over 7,000 West Texas children. These blankets are made and distributed locally to places such as Covenant Children's Hospital, UMC, Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children, Lubbock Children's Home and Military Children.

Volunteers are encouraged to head over and lend a hand. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and is located at the Lubbock Christian University Library on Dover, south of 19th St.
