Lubbock's Electric Utility Board now has a new chairman. The board has selected Greg Taylor to lead their efforts.
Taylor is one of five new members appointed to the board by city council members earlier this month.
Taylor says he wants to help build community confidence in the board's abilities.
He says all the new members are getting up to speed on the issues at Lubbock Power and Light.
He says their combined business experience should help.
"We feel like with good heads on our shoulders and the best intentions and a fact-driven fact-based process, that we can come to the best decisions for LP&L and for the city," Taylor said.
The board chose new member Jerry Bell as vice chairman, and new member James Conwright as the board's secretary.
