Some South Plains schools releasing students early due to ice

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock ISD, Frenship ISD and Lubbock-Cooper ISD all began on time this morning, but all LISD field trips have been canceled.

Some Lubbock ISD buses are running late because drivers are having to pull over and scrape their windshields, but buses are running.

Idalou schools will dismiss at 1:30 p.m., buses may be delayed but they will run

Ira ISD will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. Buses will run. Playoff game still scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

Jayton-Girard ISD has canceled classes for Friday.

Motley County classes have been canceled

Roosevelt I.S.D. – regular dismissal, buses for Buffalo Springs and Ransom Canyon will drop students on top of the hill.

Southland ISD will be dismissing at 1:30 p.m. Buses will run on pavement only, both Slaton and Post routes will run.

South Plains College has announced the cancelation of the Texan Preview Day scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday (Nov. 23) in the Student Center on the Levelland campus.

Spur ISD classes have been canceled for Friday

Wilson ISD will release at 12 p.m.
